Hello and welcome to the Happy at Home website! My name is Heather Radloff. We currently have 4 pet sitters including myself: Heather Radloff, Heather Riley, Deborah Susswein, and Diane Pelletier
My background: I grew up in Greenville, SC and always had a home full of pets. Over the years, I have cared for cats, dogs, birds, snakes, rats, turtles, rabbits, horses, guinea pigs, and ferrets. Animals have always been a very special part of my life. I am happiest being around my animals, as they are like children to me. I went to college at Winthrop University and graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 1998. I have spent many years working with children in foster care with emotional issues. I have always found animals bring a little joy and comfort into their lives. I continue my dedication to them, as I pursue my pet sitting adventures!
Over the past 20 years, I have been able to pet sit for many family, friends, and acquaintances. I was excited to start this professional service in 2006. I believe your pets are very important family members and commit to providing each and every one of them with the best care possible. I currently have 3 furry kids of my own: a dog named Brandi and 2 cats named Misty and Rocky.
Since opening the business is 2006, we have grown and now have 4 pet sitters. All of our pet sitters have lots of experience caring for animals. Heather Riley, Diane, and Deborah are wonderful people and have a special place in their hearts for all types of pets.
We are licensed through the City of Palm Coast and Flagler County. We are also registered in the state of SC and Greenville County. We are insured and bonded through Mourer-Foster. I hope you will give us a call for a meet and greet session. I look forward to meeting you and your family. Let me introduce you to mine...
Rocky is my 7 year old baby boy... all 17 pounds of him. My cute little tiny kitten turned into a HUGE tomcat! Rocky enjoys playing with Winnie's tail and petting her, chasing Misty around the house, and attacking Mommy and Daddy's ankles. He is well known and feared in the yard by the lizards who have deemed him the "Lizard King". Rocky currently has an identity crisis and can't figure out if he is a dog ar a cat which is evident by his chasing and fetching of balls. Rocky often has bouts of insanity which cause him to go into a mad frenzy and attack everything in sight. His aliases include Rockstar, Rockafellar, Rocky Rock, Silly Willy, and Baby Boy.
Winnie recently passed away in August 2008. She was my best friend and loyal companion for fifteen years. In my opinion, she was the best dog ever! She was a Chow/German Shepherd mix who enjoyed chasing squirrels, sunbathing, going for shortwalks, and being Mommy's shadow. Winnie believed it was part of her household duties to assist in taking out the trash, getting the mail, patrolling the grounds, and alerting Mommy and Daddy when there was a stranger at the door or a squirrel on the bird feeder. Her aliases included Pooh, Pooh Bear, Winnie Pooh, Winnifred, and Pooh Head. Winnie was diagnosed with Cushings Disease last year and had treatment, but the disease finally took it's toll and we lost her. We love you Winnie Pooh. You will always be in our hearts and we miss you so much!
Misty is my precious 14 year old muted tortoise shell kitty (as I was told by my vet). Misty had a weight problem at one time, however, Rocky's sudden appearance in the household a couple years ago whipped her into shape! Misty enjoys sleeping in suitcases, pouncing on people's heads while they sleep, patting your knee when she wants some lovin', and sprawling out on the floor with all 4 paws up in the air. Can you say relaxed? That is until Rocky comes around. Misty's fun days of pinning down her little brother (as a kitten) have come back to haunt her and she must be on alert at all times for Rockafellar ambushes! Misty has used her senior influence to peer pressure Rocky into sharing her catnip addiction. Her aliases include Skeeter, Tabbabear, Munchkin, and Sweetie Pie.
